Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 2 on January 15th

We’re hearing tons of rumors about what’s pegged for Xiaomi’s event on the 15th, and it looks like a Redmi Note successor will be making an official appearance. The company released a teaser puzzle for a new device that confirms a Redmi Note 2.

The puzzle mentions several new features on the device, including a thinner and lighter design, better sound speakers, and a bigger screen, among other things. Xiaomi is playing up the fact that the Redmi Note 2 will feature an all-glass construction, which may end up showcasing a curved design, too.
All of the early rumors suggest the Redmi Note 2 will have a 5.5-inch 1080p screen powered by 2 GB of RAM and either a Snapdragon 615 or MediaTek MT6752 processor. Like with other typical Xiaomi devices, the price range for the Note 2 is expected to be in the aggress ~$150 range.
We’re not going to have to wait much longer to see the real device in action.
