Red_White_Nexus_5_Google_Play
It’s barely over a year old, but it appears the Nexus 5 is already slowly being put out to pasture. Customers looking for 2013′s Nexus flagship can still find the original black variant in the Play Store, but the red and white models have disappeared.

Third-party retailers still have red and white Nexus 5s, but it would be wise to act fast before they too run out.
Moreover, Google has yet to discount the 5 even with the Nexus 6 now widely available, so you likely stand a better chance scoring a deal on any color of the beloved former flagship by looking outside of Google’s official channels.
Reasons for not discounting the Nexus 5 are pretty obvious. The Nexus 6 doesn’t serve as much of a replacement for the 5 in target market or in perceived value, so keeping around the cheap, unlocked Nexus device enthusiasts have come to expect made sense, even if it meant retaining its launch price.
We’ve also learned that Google is slowly discontinuing the black Nexus 5. Once remaining stock sells, that’s it. No more 5, at least not from Google.
Share your memories of the Nexus 5 below. Let’s give her the proper send-off she deserves.
