Starting today, residents in India can pick up HTC’s latest mobile accessory, the RE Camera, from online retailer Snapdeal for Rs. 9,990 ($160). The device is currently available in white and black colorway’s with stock of the teal and orange versions expected to arrive soon.

For those unaware, the RE Camera is HTC’s first ever standalone camera, which, to be completely honest, looks a lot like a dumpy periscope. The device itself is made up of a 16-megapixel lens, a handle and several wireless components. Nothing more, nothing less.
In order to overcome the issue of not having a viewfinder the RE Camera shoots extremely wide angle videos (146-degrees) to ensure it captures everything you want it to. It’s also waterproof, which means it’s ideal for a day at the beach with the kids.
