Today being April 10th, it’s fair to say that Samsung’s vast
marketing department will be working overtime to keep the launch of the
Galaxy S6 front and center in the media. And what better way to do so
than getting the public involved via Twitter for a chance to win one of
eight Galaxy S6 handsets that have been hidden in eight cities across
the UK?
That’s right, Samsung has hidden eight Golden Envelopes containing a free voucher for a Galaxy S6 across
the UK, and is giving out clues via its twitter feed. I say there’s
eight handsets hidden, but Glasgow’s, Edinburgh’s and Belfast’s
envelopes have already been found. Here is the schedule for the other
five cities.
- 13h00 – Leeds
- 14h00 – Liverpool
- 15h00 – Birmingham
- 16h00 – Cardiff
- 17h00 – London
Samsung will run a live stream from the venue of the hidden Golden
Envelope, and then four more clues will be tweeted. If you are the first
to find the Golden Envelope, you just need to follow the instructions
in the envelope to claim your Galaxy S6. If, like me, you don’t live in
one of the eight locations, you can still participate by tweeting your
guess about where it is hidden with the hashtag
#GS6isHere. While you are deliberating about the location of the Golden Envelopes, you can always watch the live-stream
of the Galaxy S6 that Tesco launched to the edge of space earlier and
possibly win one if you guess when it will return to earth.
